United States of America Netball Association National Netball Championships was a great success. It saw the largest turn out ever of Clubs, Associations and Under19 Teams. In the Association Championship FNA and CANA tied on points, however FNA edged CANA with a 1 goal difference and CTNA was third. The MVP was Roneish Davis of CANA. The Under19 Association Championship provided a view into USANA Netball future. After a 10-3 half time lead by CANA Under19, the FNA Under19 team came back with a determination to win, but was out-done by the clock and lost 18-16. These teams should meet again to prepare for the upcoming WYNC 2009 in Cook Islands and to repeat that entertaining game. The MVP of this match was Teona Murray of FNA.
The Club Championship presented a wonderful planned competition, especially with the decision to combine the Open Division Teams with the Club Teams and the only Male Team that participated, the ever entertaining NAVIGATORS. The club division was swept by Crusaders Sports Club of CANA with Crusaders1 taking 1st and Crusaders2 taking 2nd, New Horizon of CTNA took 3rd. Diane Swaby of Solidarity Netball Club was awarded the MVP. The Open Division was was won by MCS Strikers1 over Pitons Netball club of CANA. The Under19 Club Championship was won by Senators of CANA with United of CANA coming 2nd and Lauderhill Angels of Florida placing 3rd. The MVP in this division was Shanique Robinson of Senators. This division was really competitive and showed their talent in the Under19 Association Division.
